ORANGE PARK – It all started with tryouts in February and two thoughts were on the mind of the team and manager Tom George which was to win the Florida State Championship and the USSSA World Series, and after 54 total games with a record of 40-14 the Heat have moved one step closer to accomplishing both goals by recently winning the Florida State Championship in Orlando when they totally overwhelmed the competition outscoring their opponents 49 to 4.

After the Heat stormed through Orlando they traveled to Lake City to win the North East State Championship, scoring 51 more runs and only giving up four, now they have moved up to #2 in the Florida State Power Ranking and #6 in the National Power Rankings, but there still is one more piece to complete the season and that will be played from July 15-19 in Indianapolis, IN at the USSSA World Series.
