"This has been my favorite all time team to coach because they have been a great bunch of athletes that have worked hard and played hard for me," said Raider Coach Amy Walker.
"Our record does not show the hard matches we have had against state-ranked teams, but winning the district proved that the hard schedule made us a good team."
Against Spruce Creek, the Lady Raiders, said Walker, never got on track consistently thoughout the match to overcome the powerful line of the Lady Hawks.
In Class 2A region quarterfinals, St. Johns Country Day School ended their season with a three-game loss to P.K. Yonge of Gainesville, 25-12, 25-17, 25-20.
Senior outside hitter Rachel Brown led the Lady Spartans with six kills, five service points and senior setter Jenna Williams added seven service points and six assists as St. Johns ended their season with a 20-8 mark.
