MIDDLEBURG - Owner and head instructor at Middleburg Martial Arts, Ms. Jan Lappin was recently given the 4th Dan award with the World Tang Soo Do Association.
Lappin started her martial arts training in judo while attending the University of Florida in 1978 and has been training in this style for over 20 years.
She has recently been nominated for instructor of the year with the World Tang Soo Do Association.
The association’s high standards for Black Belts caused Lappin to go through two years of rigorous testing for this level of Black Belt and it is just the beginning of earning her Masters Belt which should happen in this sometime this month.
