Following is a list of crimes reported to the Clay County Sheriff's Office:

 

 

Thefts:

 

On 05/27/10 stainless steel scrap metal was stolen from the rear of Powell & Son Industrial Repairs on County Road 218.

 

On 05/27/10 an unsecured wallet was stolen from the gym locker room at Fleming High School on Village Square Parkway in Fleming Island.

 

On 05/27/10 two (2) unsecured bicycles were stolen from the front of a residence on Horsetail Avenue (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg.

 

On 05/27/10 a Florida tag was stolen from a trailer at a residence on Suzanne Drive in Middleburg.

 

On 05/27/10 cash and a pair of earrings were stolen from an unattended purse in a bathroom at the food court of Orange Park Mall on Wells Road in Orange Park.

 

 

Burglary to Structures:

On 05/26/10 an air conditioning unit was damaged, a grill was moved and damaged and three (3) fishing poles were stolen from the interior of a residence on County Road 214 in Keystone Heights.

 

On 05/26/10 two (2) air conditioning units were stolen from a residence on County Road 214 in Keystone Heights.

 

On 05/26/10 a leaf blower and four (4) fishing reels were stolen from an unsecured garage at a residence on Harvey Grant Road in Orange Park.

 

On 05/27/10 a 42in flat screen television, a laptop computer, and three (3) gold rings were stolen from a residence on Melrose Road in Melrose. Entry was made by smashing the glass door in the rear of the residence. Also, a miter saw, a power saw and a chain saw were stolen from an unlocked shed in the rear of the residence.

 

On 05/27/10 jewelry, coins and a revolver were stolen from a residence on James Street (BELLAIR WEST) in Orange Park. Entry was made by ripping open a screen in a rear bathroom and entering the residence.

 

On 05/27/10 an unattended set of keys were stolen from the register counter at Cycle and Ski Concepts on County Road 218.

 

On 05/27/10 unsecured cash was stolen from a residence on Dowling Road in Middleburg.

 

 

Burglary to Autos:

On 05/26/10 a compact disc/radio face plate was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of Fleming High School on Village Square Parkway in Fleming Island. It is not known if the vehicle was locked, or not.

 

On 05/26/10 meds were stolen from an unlocked vehicle with the windows rolled down at a residence on Bucknell Avenue (HIGHRIDGE ESTATES) in Keystone Heights.

 

 

Criminal Mischief:

On 05/27/10 a rear window was broken on a vehicle and oil was poured along the top of a fence at a residence on Ravine Hill Drive (RETREAT UNIT) in Middleburg.

Thefts:

On 05/24/10 a Florida license plate was stolen from a trailer parked at a residence on Ridgecrest Avenue (RIDGECRST) in Orange Park.

 

On 05/24/10 a purse left unattended on top of a vehicle at BJ’s on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park was stolen.

 

On 05/24/10 two (2) bicycles were stolen from the front yard of a residence on North Minosa Avenue (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg.

 

On 05/24/10 a boat with the keys left in the ignition, docked at The Isle of Palm Marina on U. S. Highway 17 in Orange Park was stolen.

 

On 05/24/10 two (2) white male suspects left Ronnie’s Wings on Walnut Street in Green Cove Springs without paying and left a stolen cell phone on the table.

 

On 05/24/10 three (3) gaming machines were pried open at Park Avenue Billiards on Park Avenue in Orange Park.  It is not known if there was money in the machines.

 

On 05/25/10 a vehicle left unlocked and the keys inside was stolen from a residence on Black Creek Drive in Middleburg.  The vehicle was reported involved in a hit and run accident.

 

On 05/25/10 chain saws and tree trimming equipment were stolen from a shed at a residence on Pine Road in Orange Park

 

On 05/254/10 the Florida license decal was stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence on Buckwheat Court (BLACK CREEK PARK) in Middleburg.

 

On 05/25/10 a Florida license plate was stolen from a boat trailer parked at a residence on Linwood Drive in Keystone Heights.

 

On 05/25/10 items were stolen from an unlocked locker at The YMCA on Town Center Boulevard in Orange Park.

 

 

Burglary to Structures:

On 05/24/10 money was stolen from the Sun Tire Store on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park.  Entry was made by tearing open the rear wall of the building.

 

On 05/24/10 there was an attempted burglary to a residence on Waters Edge Drive (WATERS EDGE- EAGLE HARBOR) in Orange Park.  The residence was left secured but upon returning the homeowner found the rear sliding glass door unsecured.  The homeowner was unable to find any items missing.

 

On 05/25/10 copper wire, plumbing fixtures were stolen and the ceiling damaged at a vacant residence on Hunter Avenue (HIGHRIDGE ESTATES) in Keystone Heights.  Entry was made by breaking out a back window.

 

On 05/25/10 a stove, refrigerator, and fireplace were stolen a vacant residence on Horsetail Avenue (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg.  Entry was made by prying open the rear door.

 

On 05/25/10 riding lawn mower was stolen from the garage at an unoccupied residence on South Crater Lake Circle in Keystone Heights.  Entry was made through an unlocked side garage door.

 

 

Burglary to Autos:

On 05/24/10 there was an attempted burglary of a vehicle parked in the parking lot at Home Depot on Wells Road in Orange Park.  The passenger’s side window was broken out, the vehicle was rummaged through but nothing was missing.   

 

On 05/24/10 a GPS unit and charger and a PSP game were stolen from a van parked in the parking lot at The Hess gas station on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park.  The van was locked but the driver’s side window was left 1/3 down.

 

Criminal Mischief:

On 05/24/10 road reflectors were removed and damaged from the front edge of a residence on Callie Court (MILLER OAK TRAILS) in Green Cove Springs.

Armed Robbery:

 

On 05/21/10 around 1615 hours, a male suspect was stealing meat from the meat department at Winn Dixie on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park. When approached by managers and witnesses, the suspect pulled a knife from his pocket and told the managers and witnesses that he would cut them. The suspect left the store with the meat products and was again confronted by managers at which time the suspect discarded some of the meat products and ran north on Blanding Boulevard.

 

 

Thefts:

On 05/19/10 an unattended backpack was stolen from the bathroom at Keystone Heights High School in Keystone Heights.

 

On 05/19/10 an unattended purse was stolen from the floor at the food court in the Orange Park Mall on Wells Road in Orange Park.

 

On 05/19/10 an unattended wallet, cell phone and keys to a vehicle were stolen from a table in the pool area at the Pace Island Pool (PACE ISLAND) in Orange Park.

 

On 05/21/10 mail was stolen from a mail box at a residence on Hillside Drive (OLDE SUTTON FOREST) in Orange Park.

 

On 05/21/10 gas was siphoned from two (2) vehicles on Old Orange Park Road in Orange Park.

 

On 05/22/10 a power block was stolen from a meter box outside of a residence on Orion Road in Green Cove Springs.

 

On 05/23/10 a well pump was stolen from the yard of a residence on Aster Avenue (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg.

 

On 05/23/10 a cell phone and a wallet were stolen from an unattended backpack while swimming in Black Creek at the rear of the Woodbridge subdivision off Tomahawk Drive in Middleburg.

 

On 05/23/10 several items were stolen from an unlocked game room in the garage/shed at a residence on Mallard Road (DUCKPOND) in Middleburg.

 

On 05/23/10 a tool bag containing tools and an ice chest were stolen from an unlocked tote box in the bed of a pickup truck in a parking lot on Park Avenue in Orange Park.

 

 

Burglary to Structures:

On 05/19/10 a hand gun was stolen from a night stand drawer in an unlocked residence on Big Branch Road in Middleburg.

 

On 05/19/10 two (2) laptop computers, an HP PDA and an IPOD were stolen from an unlocked residence on Harbor Lake Drive (HARBOR LAKE) in Orange Park.

 

On 05/19/10 two (2) rings, a laptop computer and a camera were stolen from a residence on Westfield Drive in Green Cove Springs. Entry was made by forcing a rear sliding glass door.

 

On 05/22/10 a bicycle was stolen from an open garage at a residence on Pawnee Street in Orange Park.

 

On 05/22/10 three (3) handguns were stolen from an unlocked residence on Crossing Boulevard in Orange Park

 

On 05/23/10 items were missing and damage done to a residence in foreclosure on Wilmington Lane (OAKLEAF PLANTATION) in Orange Park.

 

On 05/23/10 the door handle on the concession stand was found unlocked at the Oakleaf Athletic Center on Oakleaf Village Parkway (OAKLEAF PLANTATION) in Orange Park. It is not known if there was anything missing.

 

 

Burglary to Autos:

None reported

 

 

Criminal Mischief:

On 05/19/10 the word “YOU” was spray painted on the back of a building on Blanding Boulevard in Middleburg.

 

On 05/19/10 a mailbox was dented and a glass light fixture was broken at a residence on College Drive in Orange Park.

 

On 05/19/10 a front bedroom window screen was bent at a residence on Woodside Court in Orange Park. No entry was made to the residence.

 

On 05/21/10 the hood of a vehicle was scratched at a property on Crossing Boulevard in Orange Park.

 

On 05/21/10 two (2) front tires were slashed and the driver’s side front window was broken on a vehicle at a residence on Bonnlyn Drive (BELLAIR) in Orange Park.

Armed Robbery:

On 05/20 around midnight, a male victim was approached by a man in the parking lot of The Crazy Horse Saloon on Wells Road in Orange Park. The suspect produced a small black semi-automatic pistol and demanded the victims money or he would shoot him. The victim complied and the suspect was last seen east on Wells Road.

 

 

Thefts:

On 05/15 an above ground pool was stolen from the rear of a residence on Bellamy Road in Keystone Heights.

 

On 05/17 an unsecured cell phone was stolen from under a counter at Kid’s Foot Locker on Wells Road in Orange Park.

 

On 05/17 a vehicle was stolen from parking lot B at St. Johns Community College on College Avenue in Orange Park.

 

On 05/17 a Toyota Camry was stolen from the east parking lot outside of building #E on Debarry Avenue (GROVE PARK) in Orange Park.

 

On 05/18 an unsecured car lift was stolen from a residence on Veronica Avenue (BLACK CREEK PARK) in Middleburg.

 

On 05/20 an iPOD was stolen from an unattended backpack at Ridgeview High School in Orange Park.

 

On 05/20 a license plate sticker was stolen from a vehicle at a residence on Elm Street in Orange Park.

 

 

Burglary to Structures:

On 05/15 an attempted burglary was made at a residence on College Drive in Orange Park. A window was broken out but entry was not gained.

 

On 05/15 a riding mower was stolen from an unsecured shed at a residence on Deer Trail (SUNNYSIDE FARMS) in Middleburg.

 

On 05/17 cash and meds were stolen from a vehicle at a residence on Bear Run Boulevard (BEAR RUN) in Orange Park. Entry was made through a partially open window.

 

On 05/17 two (2) air conditioning units were stolen from the business of Professional Dental Center on Highway 17 in Orange Park.

 

On 05/17 three (3) air conditioning units were stolen from the business of Island Pediatrics on Highway 17 in Orange Park.

 

On 05/18 a door handle was broken and the door jamb cracked on a shed at a residence on Backwoods Drive in Middleburg.

 

On 05/18 two (2) air conditioning units were stolen from residences on Princeton Street (HIGHRIDGE ESTATES) in Keystone Heights.

 

On 05/18 an attempt to burglarize was made at a residence on Coffee Avenue (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg. A window in the back door was broken but no entry was made.

 

On 05/20 a beer keg was stolen from a shed in the rear or a residence on Virginia Beach Lane in Melrose.

 

On 05/20 a washer, dryer, and a Geo Tracker were stolen from a residence on Cattail Street (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg. Entry was made by forcing the front door.

 

 

Burglary to Autos:

On 05/15 several vehicles were burglarized at a residence on Carl Brook Road (MASTERS VILLAGE) in Keystone Heights. A car battery, sickle, hammer, four (4) lawn chairs, scuba fins and a propane tank were among the items stolen from the vehicles. All vehicles were forced open.

 

On 05/17 an IPOD was stolen from a vehicle at a residence on Bitterroot Street (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg. Entry was made through the driver’s side door that has a faulty lock.

 

On 05/18 wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of Pep Boys on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park.

 

On 05/18 a chainsaw was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a residence on Buckhead Road in Middleburg.

 

On 05/20 speakers and an amplifier were stolen from a vehicle in the driveway of a residence on Highland Mill Lane (OAKLEAF PLANTATION) in Orange Park. There were no signs of forced entry.

 

Criminal Mischief:

On 05/15 a windshield was cracked and the right front quarter panel was damaged on a vehicle at a residence on Holmes Landing Drive (HOLMES LANDING) in Orange Park.

 

On 05/17 a window, in a class room, was broken by a large block of wood at S. Bryan Jennings Elementary School on Corona Drive in Orange Park.

 

On 05/17 two (2) Pepsi machines were broken into at Ridgeview High School in Orange Park.

 

On 05/20 roofing nails were thrown into a driveway at a residence on Carnation Avenue (JACKSONVILLE SOUTH) in Middleburg.

With all the stolen guns, can anyone say "gun cabinet?" It's not that difficult of a concept.
